Marky Mark

The White Sox acquired utility player Mark Teahen from the Kansas City Royals in the offseason. He is a solid fielder who brings a lot of pop with the bat. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/t/teahema01.shtml This shows his statistics over the years in the league. The move made good sense, except they lost a speedy, well hitting, good fielding Chris Getz in the process. This may be so, but it gives Gordon Beckham the opportunity to step up and start at second base while Teahen could start at third. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2009/11/questions-surround-white-soxs-acquisition-of-mark-teahen-from-kansas-city-for-chris-getz-and-josh-fi.html Some scouts believe that Teahen is a good fit with the Sox. As one said "His numbers will improve." People believe that he could be a solid third baseman who helps the team. http://soxbronzetitan.wordpress.com/2009/11/10/some-scouts-like-the-sox-mark-teahen-acquisition/
