Juan Pierre? Really?

The Chicago White Sox acquired Juan Pierre this offseason. Why they decided to not resign Scott Podsednik is a mystery to me. He was the key player who put a fire under the butt's of the other players to start games. Pierre is just as fast if not faster, but his lack of power, arm strength, and fielding skills have hurt him for years. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/340715-2009-offseason-bestworst-moves-for-fantasy-baseball On this website he is an honorable mention for one of the best offseason hitting moves. Its true that speed kills defences, but I'm still not convinced he can hit consistently. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/baseball/mlb/12/15/heyman.pierre.whitesox/index.html He filled in well for Manny Ramirez last season. He is a lifetime .301 hitter who can really move, but the fielding is where he needs to improve. http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/soxnet/2009/12/white-sox-acquire-juan-pierre-for-2-prospects.html This website shows how with the acquisition of Pierre, the White Sox have a clutter of players in the outfield. This move has caused a stir up among Sox fans that is for the worse.
